New Mini Limited Special EditionsThree month countdown for limited Mini must-have...yes, the latest offerings from Mini include their fantastic finance deals and even more eye-catching 2-seater Mini Coupe,

...but what really grabbed my attention were their limited edition models, the Mini Pimlico (one/one Diesel/Cooper/Cooper Diesel), the Mini Clubman Hampton (Clubman Hampton/Diesel Clubman Hampton/Sports Clubman Hampton/Sports Diesel Clubman Hampton) and the Mini Soho (Soho/Soho D/ Soho Convertible/Soho D Convertible).

Derby, UK (Carbag.co.uk News) 4th January 2012. The Mini Pimlico (from £15k): this special edition Mini Hatch is only available until March 2012, when its limited 12 month run is over, so if its Laser Blue metallic paint job, twin-spoke alloys, internal ebony trim and special edition insignia are what you were futilely hoping Santa might bring you, you’d better act fast.

Here’s an overview of what you’ll get in the (basic) package...

  • Output: 98 hp (72 kW) @ 6,000
  • Acceleration (0-62 mph): 10.5 s
  • Top speed: 116 mph
  • Fuel consumption (combined): 52.3 mpg
  • CO2 emissions: 127 g/km
  • Max. torque/revs: 153 Nm @ 3,000 rpm

There’s also this Mini beauty to opt for... The Mini Clubman Hampton (from £20k): the metallic Reef Blue finish accentuates the sleek black roof & door surrounds whilst red & black lounge seating finishes the overall impression made by this motor. It’s all nicely finished with climate control, a computerised dashboard (with USB & Bluetooth) and other extras such as a lights package and leather sports steering wheel. Here’s a taste of what you’ll be gifted with this (basic) model:

  • Output: 122 hp (90 kW) @ 6,000 rpm
  • Acceleration (0-62 mph): 9.8 s
  • Top speed: 125 mph
  • Fuel consumption (combined): 51.4 mph
  • CO2 emissions: 129 g/km
  • Max. torque/revs: 160 Nm @ 4,250 rpm

Finally and perhaps best suited for Londoners, there’s the Mini Soho (from £17k): if exemption from London’s congestion charges (thanks to its low CO2 emission) isn’t enough incentive to steer you towards the Soho, then maybe a range of exclusive aesthetics will sway you... whilst the exterior sports a metallic ‘white’ silver paint job, 17" Black Star Bullet alloys and Bi-Xenon headlights, the sporty interior features and complementary anthracite headlining, a leather tri-spoke steering wheel and ‘piano’ black surfaces.

And here’s an insight into the performance promised by the Soho...

  • Output: 122 hp (90 kW) @ 6,000 rpm
  • Acceleration (0-62 mph): 9.1 s
  • Top speed: 126 mph
  • Fuel consumption (combined): 52.3 mph
  • CO2 emissions: 127 g/km
  • Max. torque/revs: 160 Nm @ 4,250 rpm
