The Maybach 57 together with the Maybach 62 were the first models built at the giant Mercedes Benz manufacturing plant at Stuttgart after Daimler AG decided to revive the Maybach luxury car brand in the mid 1990s. The 57 is based upon the concept car Mercedes Benz presented at the 1997 Geneva Motor Show. This concept car is derived from the Mercedes Benz S-Class Saloon. The aim was to compete with rivals VW and BMW who purchased and built the Bentley at Crewe and the Rolls Royce at a brand new plant at Goodwood respectively. In 2008 the Maybach sold at approx €367,000 New or used Maybach 57? We have the features, images and specifications and you can read users’ comments and publish your own reviews.
